CAN Protests, Accused Alaafin Of Selling 96 Plots Of Their Land


 

The Christian Association of Nigeria in Oyo town has accused the Alaafin of Oyo of selling 96 plots of land, at Ayetoro, which belongs to the association, to some investors.

The Christian body also claimed that the Alaafin had boycotted several proposed meetings with the Oyo town chapter of CAN to resolve the issue.

Reverend Femi Afolabi, who spoke on behalf of the Oyo Zone CAN, disclosed that the monarch’s attitude towards the issue made the Christian association take to the street in Oyo town in protest against his role in the land tussle.

Afolabi also narrated how some of the members were attacked by hoodlums who he suspected were landgrabbers when they went to inspect the property.

Drama in Ibadan, as Makinde's deputy denied access to Ajimobi’s 8th day fidau prayer


The aftermath of viral video where late Ajimobi's wife lampooned Oyo State deputy governor, Rauf Olaniyan, over his disposition towards the death of her husband came with another shocking dimension at the 8th day fidau prayer in Ibadan as there was a mild drama on Sunday at the Oluyole, Ibadan residence of the former governor of Oyo State, Abiola Ajimobi, when the state deputy governor Rauf Olaniyan was denied access to the eighth day fidau prayers holding in the compound.
